The Founder
I spent 23 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, joining as an infantryman in 1996 before transitioning to signals and eventually operating in a specialized role attached to JTF2 — Canada’s tier-one special operations unit.
Over the course of my career I completed eight operational deployments to Afghanistan, Bosnia, and the Middle East. I became a certified paratrooper, completed advanced special operations parachute training, and graduated from close protection operator training at Blackwater USA — one of the most demanding CP programs in the world.
In the latter half of my career I served as a drill sergeant, a close protection operator on the Ambassador’s of Canada to Afghanistan personal security detail on two separate occasions, and a Military Police close protection specialist. I’ve led teams in combat environments and protected principals at the highest levels of Canadian government.
I was medically released in 2019 with full honors after a service-related back injury sustained during special operations parachute training. I founded Nomad Tactical Corporation to continue doing the work I know best — protecting people and building the next generation of security professionals.
I am based in Edmonton, Alberta and operate across Western Canada and internationally.
Our Philosophy
The security industry is full of people with certifications and very little else. We built Nomad Tactical around a different standard.
Every client engagement, every training course, and every consultation is grounded in real operational experience from people who have made life-and-death decisions in the field — not in a classroom.
Discretion is non-negotiable. Competence is the baseline. Character is what sets our team apart
Our Instructor Cadre
Nomad Tactical’s training programs are delivered by an instructor cadre with combined experience spanning Canadian special operations, NATO deployments, UK policing, and Canadian municipal law enforcement at the highest levels.
Every instructor has operational close protection experience. No one in our program teaches theory they haven’t personally applied under pressure.
